We hope all is well with you and your family during these challenging times.
Many of our patients have been forced to wait for chiropractic care due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding while we were closed to prevent the spread of the virus. We are committed to providing for the chiropractic needs of our patients.
We have been open through the month of June for limited days and hours and are happy to say our office has re-opened for further patient care in July. Chiropractic hours of operation will initially be offered Tuesday to Thursday. We are booking appointments primarily in the afternoon at this time to give us additional time to clean the clinic and socially distance between appointments. For now appointments cannot be booked online due to the COVID-19 screening requirements that we must follow, but we hope to resume online booking in the near future.
Please contact us and we will be happy to reschedule appointments that had to be cancelled due to the state of emergency and directives issued by the Ministry of Health, the provincial government and our regulatory bodies. Chiropractic appointments will be triaged and prioritized based on emergency and urgent care needs. For those of you who choose to wait a while longer before resuming care, we'll be here and ready to see you upon your return.
We are taking extensive precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our patients and staff that we have outlined below.
First, we are fully compliant with infection control procedures set by the CCO, CKO and the CMTO as well as health regulations set by the Ministry of Health.
We have also changed our appointment procedures and taken other safety measures to provide a safe clinic appointment. These include;
Patients will be required to complete the Ontario COVID-19 assessment prior to scheduling an appointment if the appointment is within the next 14 days and again two days before the appointment. Please provide us with the results following completion of your online screening.
Patients will be screened again at the clinic
Glass reception barriers have been constructed to provide for physical distancing.
Modifications have been made to reception and waiting areas to provide for social distancing.
Magazines, children’s toys, and other items that are difficult to disinfect will be removed from waiting areas.
The number of patients at any given time in the practice will be limited and appointments will be staggered.
Common areas including restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn by all clinical staff.
Staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms on a daily basis.
Treatment rooms will be completely sterilized before patients are seated - extra time will be scheduled in-between appointments to allow for the thorough cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and equipment.
During treatment, our team will strictly follow guidelines set by Public Health, the CCO, the CKO and the CMTO.
We are modifying our clinic forms to make them all fillable and savable to minimize the use and contact with paper.
Scheduled appointments dates and times are being provided by email or text.
Receipts and statements will be emailed wherever possible.
In addition to the procedures above, we have prepared a (COVID-19 Patient Visit Guide) providing additional details that can be viewed prior to your appointment that outline the new Patient visit protocols and procedures to be followed for all in-office appointments.
The safety of our patients is our top priority, and our entire clinical team is committed to ensuring your safety and comfort in receiving care from our office.
We are looking forward to reconnecting with our patients and providing for your health care needs. If you have any questions or concerns related to your care after reviewing this information, please contact us directly. Sincerely, The Kingston West Family Chiropractic Team
