Dr. Adrina Patterson is the owner of Kingston West Family Chiropractic. She is a graduate of Queen’s University and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario.
Dr. Patterson is originally from the Niagara region. She has made Kingston her home with her husband Michael.
Her experience with chiropractic began at a young age. She had a fall while at work and injured her neck. Chiropractic restored her function and got her moving again. As an athlete involved in several sports (rowing, badminton etc.) she found that the continued benefits of chiropractic improved her sports performance and minimized recovery from the stresses of training on her body. She decided that she wanted to share her positive experience with others in a family friendly environment and chose to pursue chiropractic as her career path.
She obtained Bachelor of Science and Physical & Health Education degrees from Queen’s University followed by her doctor of chiropractic from CMCC where she graduated Cum Laude and with Clinical Honours.
She has completed postgraduate studies in pediatric chiropractic care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Life University.
She has also completed the core program in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University and advanced acupuncture training in CCMD (cranio cervical mandibular disorders) diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Patterson is a registered kinesiologist and member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association. She is also a certified personal trainer through the Sport Performance Institute.
She has taken advanced studies in gait analysis and custom foot orthotics through The Orthotic Group in Markham, Ontario in order to provide patients with the most current knowledge on orthotic therapy.
She has completed the ergonomics coordinator certificate through the University of Fredericton.
She is a Shift Concussion Management certified provider.
Dr. Patterson is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations.
